1.0 About Us
NextPhase EMDR provides services including teaching, training, supervision, and consulting to mental health professionals, independently and in partnership with other behavioral health organizations.
1.1 Services
NextPhase EMDR provides professional education, including EMDR Basic Training, advance trainings, supervision, and consultation for mental health professionals in partnership with other behavioral health organizations.

1.3 Intellectual Property
All training materials, manuals, presentations, and resources provided by NextPhase EMDR are the intellectual property of NextPhase EMDR, LLC unless otherwise stated.
These materials may not be copied, distributed, reproduced, or sold without express written consent.
Licensed purchasers (e.g., trainers or organizations) may receive separate written permissions for limited use and adaptation.
2.0 ELIGIBILITY
2.1 EMDRIA Eligibility Criteria
To register for EMDR Basic Training, participants must meet EMDRIA’s eligibility requirements, which include the following categories:
Licensed Mental Health Professionals
Must hold an active clinical license in a mental health field such as Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work, Psychiatry, or Psychiatric Nursing.
Pre-Licensed Mental Health Professionals
Must hold a qualifying graduate degree in a mental health discipline and be actively pursuing full licensure under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
Graduate Students
Must be currently enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program in a mental health discipline, have completed core coursework, and be in the practicum or internship phase.
Must provide documentation from their supervisor confirming eligibility.
3.0 REGISTRATION
3.1 How to Register
Registration is completed through our website at nextphaseemdr.com unless otherwise arranged.
3.2 Discounts
Discounts are available for:
● Pre-licensed clinicians
● Full-time nonprofit employees (with verification)
● Groups of three or more registering together
3.3 Registration Requirements
All registrants must:
● Provide accurate license or student documentation
● Sign a confidentiality agreement (see Section 7.0)
● Confirm ability to participate in live practicum activities and maintain professional confidentiality
4.0 Attendance and Completion Requirements
4.1 EMDRIA Completion Standards
Completion of EMDR Basic Training requires:
● 40 hours of instructional training (lecture and practicum)
● 10 hours of consultation
● Full attendance and participation
● Completion within 12 months of the initial training date
4.2 Training Formats
Two-Part Training
Two 3-day modules held 4–6 weeks apart.
Five-Day Intensive Training
Condensed delivery across five consecutive days.
4.3 Attendance Policy
Trainees must attend all scheduled sessions in full to receive credit.
Late arrivals, early departures, or absences will result in an incomplete course and require make-up in accordance with EMDRIA policy.
● Two-Part Training: Missed part reschedule = $250 per part
● Five-Day Intensive: Must retake full course = $500
4.4 Timely Completion
All components, including consultation, must be completed within 12 months from the initial start date.
Failure to complete within this window will require re-enrollment.
5.0 COURSE MATERIALS
Participants receive:
● A digital and paper copy of the EMDR Training Manual
● A copy of the PowerPoint slides
● Access to required reading list (Shapiro, 2018, and EMDRIA supplemental materials)
● Access to the online learner portal for at least 12 months
Replacement access to materials may be requested for up to three years from the original training date.
6.0 COnsultation
6.1 Required Hours
EMDRIA requires 10 hours of consultation following the instructional portion of Basic Training.
6.2 Consultation Format
● Group format, maximum of 10 participants per group
● Offered by EMDRIA-Approved Consultants (ACs) or Consultants-in-Training (CITs) under AC supervision
● Scheduling information is provided at the end of Part One
6.3 Missed Consultation
If a trainee misses a consultation session, individual make-up consultation may be arranged at a consultant’s hourly rate.
7.0 Practicum, Demonstrations, and Confidentiality
7.1 Practicum
Participation in practicum is required for completion. Trainees practice EMDR procedures with each other under supervision.
7.2 Live Demonstrations
Volunteer demonstrations may occur during training. These are for educational purposes only and do not constitute therapy.
7.3 Confidentiality
All participants agree to maintain confidentiality regarding practicum material, demonstrations, and case discussions.
Failure to uphold confidentiality may result in removal from training without refund.
8.0 Refunds and Payment Policies
8.1 Refunds and Cancellations
● 14+ days before training: Full refund minus $150 administrative fee
● 7–13 days before training: Full refund minus $250 administrative fee
● Less than 7 days before training: 50% credit toward a future training (less $150 fee)
8.2 Payment Plans
Payment plans may be arranged during registration.
All balances must be paid in full 14 days before training begins.
9.0 Accessibility and Inclusion
NextPhase EMDR is committed to providing an inclusive, accessible, and equitable learning environment for all participants.
If you require accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or have accessibility needs, please contact support@nextphaseemdr.com as soon as possible before your training start date.
All requests will be handled confidentially and every effort made to ensure reasonable accommodations.
10.0 Grievance Procedure
NextPhase EMDR strives to provide high-quality educational experiences and professional support.
If you have a complaint or grievance related to training, facilitation, consultation, or any other aspect of your experience:
1. Submit your concern in writing to support@nextphaseemdr.com
2. Include your name, contact information, and a brief description of the issue
3. A member of our leadership team will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and
provide a written response within 14 business days
If unresolved, the concern will be reviewed by lead trainer Ginger Pilarski for final determination.
11.0 EMDRIA Approval Statement
This EMDR Basic Training is approved by the EMDR International Association and meets all EMDRIA standards for Basic Training.
NextPhase EMDR, LLC and Ginger Pilarski maintain active EMDRIA Trainer and Provider statuses in good standing.
Training rosters and completion records are submitted to EMDRIA within 120 days of course completion.
12.0 Ethical and Professional Conduct
Participants agree to:
● Uphold professional ethical standards per their licensing board and EMDRIA guidelines
● Maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout the training
● Seek appropriate professional support if emotionally impacted by practicum material
Violations of these standards may result in dismissal without refund.
13.0 Advertising and Transparency Disclosure
In compliance with EMDRIA advertising standards, NextPhase EMDR discloses the following:
● Training includes 40 hours of instruction and 10 hours of consultation
● Consultation is included in the cost of training
● All consultation is facilitated by EMDRIA-Approved Consultants or Consultants-in-Training under supervision
● Completion of all components within 12 months is required to receive a Certificate of Completion
● Attendance at all live sessions is mandatory; partial credit cannot be awarded
● All costs, refund policies, and attendance expectations are fully disclosed prior to registration
13.0 record retention
Training rosters and completion records are retained for at least five years in accordance with EMDRIA requirements and may be submitted to EMDRIA upon request.
