You’ll learn through a combination of:

TRAINING STRUCTURE

 How the Training is Structured

  • All three days begin with lecture, followed by afternoon practicum.

    You’ll begin learning how to implement EMDR techniques and start building foundational confidence using the model.

  • A blend of lecture and practice focused on:

    • Advanced skills

    • Adapting EMDR for diverse populations

    • Working with more complex clinical presentations

  • Between Part 1 & Part 2 (4 hours):
     Receive support as you begin integrating EMDR into your sessions.

    After Part 2 (6 hours):
     Strengthen your skills and confidence as your EMDR practice develops.

    If you choose to become EMDR-certified, additional requirements are needed, including:

    • 20 more hours of consultation

    • Clinical experience using EMDR

  • Yes. The required book is:

    Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy: Basic Principles, Protocols, and Procedures

    There’s no pressure to start before Part 1, but many participants find it helpful to read between sessions and complete it after training.

  • EMDR is widely known for trauma treatment, but it’s also effective for:

    • Anxiety and depression

    • OCD and mood disorders

    • Grief and attachment wounds

    • Negative self-beliefs and behavioral patterns

    This training gives you practical tools you can begin using with clients, not just theory

TRAINING EXPERIENCE

  • Virtual training is held live via Zoom and includes the same structure as in-person training:

    • Lecture

    • Demonstration

    • Hands-on practice

    • Real-time feedback

    You’ll also learn how to apply EMDR in telehealth settings.

    Participants are expected to:

    • Have a reliable internet connection

    • Keep cameras on

    • Join from a quiet, distraction-free space

    • Held virtually via Zoom

    • 2 hours per session

    • Small groups (max 10 participants)

    • Each participant is expected to attend fully and present a case

    This ensures you receive meaningful feedback and support.

  • You’ll receive a sign-up form at the end of Part 1.

    • 4 hours take place between Part 1 and Part 2

    • 6 hours take place after Part 2 (within ~6 weeks)

    We offer multiple time options so you can choose what fits your schedule.

  • You’ll receive everything 7–10 days before Part 1, including:

    • Zoom access

    • Training manual

    • PowerPoint and additional resources

POLICIES

  • EMDRIA requires full attendance for all training hours.

    If you miss any portion:

    • That section must be rescheduled

    • A $250 administrative fee applies per part

    We understand that things happen and will work with you while staying within EMDRIA guidelines.

    • 14+ days notice: Full refund minus $150 fee

    • 7–13 days: Full refund minus $250 fee

    • Less than 7 days: 50% refundable (or credited toward a future training within 6 months)

      If a training must be rescheduled due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, you’ll be notified at least 7 days in advance.

    • To receive your certificate, you must attend:

      • All live sessions

      • Practicum exercises

      • Consultation hours

    Late arrivals or early departures over 15 minutes may count as an absence per EMDRIA standards.
